AURORA TREATMENT OUTCOMES – 2019-2022
Aurora Reproductive Healthcare is a satellite fertility unit meaning that we do not have our own laboratories and instead perform the licensed aspects of the fertility treatments we offer through our licensed partner (Manchester Fertility). We are a specialised reproductive medicine and surgery service providing the full spectrum of fertility and specialist gynaecology services; this means that our fertility service attracts a preponderance of women with other gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis and uterine fibroids. Because of the relatively smaller number of fertility treatment cycles we undertake each year, we have ben advised by the HFEA to present our combined results over a number of years to make them more representative and smoothen out the wide variations there could be between years due to the smaller number of cycles.

Live births and Ongoing clinical pregnancies (per embryo transfer).
Summary of Treatment Outcomes
Fresh IVF/ICSI: 56% of women undergoing fresh IVF/ICSI achieved positive pregnancy test, 47% achieving live births or ongoing pregnancies, and 15% sadly ending as clinical miscarriages.
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET): 56% of women undergoing frozen embryo transfer (FET) achieved positive pregnancy test, 47% achieving live births or ongoing pregnancies, and 17% sadly ending as clinical miscarriages.
Donor Egg IVF/ICSI: 70% of women undergoing donor-egg IVF/ICSI achieved positive pregnancy test, 55% achieving live births or ongoing pregnancies, and 21% sadly ending as clinical miscarriages.
Egg Freezing: 100% of women who set out to get eggs frozen successfully achieved that outcome.
Embryo Freezing: 100% of women who set out to get embryos frozen successfully achieved that outcome.
Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome: we had one case of moderate and no case of severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome in the period.
